What needed solving
PowerZone needed to know, reliably, what stock it had, what it had on order, and what was about to run out. Tracking that across a full catalogue by hand meant the numbers were always a little behind reality, and running low on the wrong item at the wrong time was a recurring, expensive surprise.
How we tackled it
We built a system around how the business actually buys and moves stock, rather than a generic inventory template. It keeps one accurate picture of stock across the catalogue, ties it to the suppliers and purchase orders behind it, and surfaces what is running low early enough to do something about it.
The build
- Stock tracking across the full catalogue in one place
- Supplier and purchase-order management tied to the items they supply
- Low-stock flags that surface problems before they become urgent
- A clear view of what is in stock, on order, and running out
Choices that mattered
Model the real buying workflow
Stock, suppliers, and purchase orders are connected in the data the way they are connected in the business, so the numbers stay trustworthy.
Warn early, not late
The value is in catching a shortage while there is still time to reorder, so low-stock signals are tuned to lead time, not just a fixed threshold.
