Cancellation Policy
Last updated July 16, 2026
This policy explains how to cancel an engagement with Arthus Systems and what happens when you do. It applies alongside the specific terms in your signed agreement, which take precedence where they differ.
How to cancel
To cancel an engagement, email contact@arthussystems.com with your project details. We will confirm the cancellation, the current state of the work, and any outstanding balance for work already performed.
Notice
For fixed-scope projects, you may cancel at any time; billing stops at the point of cancellation for any work not yet started. For retainers and ongoing support, please give the notice period set out in your agreement, typically before the start of the next billing period.
Deposits and work in progress
The initial deposit is non-refundable once work has begun. You are billed for work performed up to the cancellation, including any in-progress milestone at the proportion completed. Any prepaid amount for work not yet started is refundable, minus third-party costs already committed on your behalf. See our Refund Policy for detail.
Handover
On cancellation, you keep the work performed up to that point. Once any outstanding balance for delivered work is settled, we hand over the completed work and assets, so you are never left unable to continue with another team or in-house.
Cancellation by us
In rare cases we may need to end an engagement, for example if a project falls outside what we can responsibly deliver. If that happens, we will give reasonable notice, hand over completed work, and refund any prepaid amount for work not yet performed.
